Our Story
Why we started Strong Roots
Strong Roots started with a familiar frustration: everywhere a beginner looked, “how to start a Shopify store” led to a paywall. A $499 course. A $2,000 agency. A “mentorship” that recycled free documentation.
The knowledge itself was never the expensive part — packaging it was. So we did the opposite. We packaged it well and gave it away: real templates, real Liquid code, real documentation, and a community that answers questions for free because someone once did the same for us.
No upsell is coming. There is no “pro tier” hidden behind this page. If Strong Roots ever costs money, we’ve failed at the one thing we set out to do.
Mission
Remove money as a barrier to starting.
Every beginner — student, teen, side hustler, small business owner — should be able to build a real Shopify store with zero budget and full understanding of what they built.

A generation that builds before it buys.
We picture a world where “I can’t afford to start” is never true for e-commerce — where the default first step is a free template and a helpful community, not a course checkout page.
