Our story
Why we started Strong Roots
Strong Roots started with a familiar frustration: everywhere a beginner looked, "how to start a Shopify store" led to a paywall. A $499 course. A $2,000 agency. A "mentorship" that recycled free documentation.
The knowledge itself was never the expensive part — packaging it was. So we did the opposite. We packaged it well and gave it away: real templates, real Liquid code, real documentation, and a community that answers questions for free because someone once did the same for us.
No upsell is coming. There is no "pro tier" hidden behind this page. If Strong Roots ever costs money, we've failed at the one thing we set out to do.

Is Strong Roots really free?
Yes — every template, section, snippet and guide is free, forever. Creating an account is free too; it just unlocks downloads and bookmarks.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Templates install through the Shopify admin and are customized visually. When you're curious, our commented Liquid is a great way to start learning.
Can I use templates for client work?
Yes. Everything is open source — use it for personal stores, client stores, anything. Attribution is appreciated, never required.
How do I request a template?
Post in the #templates channel on Discord. The library grows from member requests.
